Brain Foods

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce myself. My name is Worawan Tolong. I ‘m a third year student in English major at Faculty of Education, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. Today I’m going to talk about Brain foods. O.K lest see


What are “brain foods?” do you know they are any foods which improve brain function in some way. A diet heavy in omega-3 fatty, for example, can help keep the blood vessels of the brain clear of blockages and allow nerve cells to function at a high level. So you may want to eat your fish twice a week or take a supplement. That can you see

O.K now look at bar chart that show the Grain and Grass fed beef liver: Liver is a fatty food and the effects of grass feeding are impressive in this food item, you can see at bar is longest of DPA, grass there are 283 mgs per 100 grams that is more than grain, there are 108 mgs per 100 grams. So some food nutrients are particularly important to brain health.

I tell you about good foods for the brain. The best brain foods are complex carbohydrates. The molecules in these are long, so it takes longer for the intestines to break them down into the simple sugars the body can use. Because of this, they provide a source of steady energy rather than a surge followed by a plunge. Such as fruits, cereals and grains, vegetable and legumes, dairy product. That are good foods for mental function.

I tell you about bad foods for the brain. As mentioned, alcohol just goes in and starts killing brain cells. Nicotine causes contraction of capillaries. The rest of the foods on the “bad brain foods” list are bad because is unhealthy fluctuations in blood sugar levels they cause.

And the last one. When you eat your foods, which choose it’s important and benefits for you, putting the right food in help, but it’s important to get it out too. Well, I tell you if you eat a balanced diet, you don’t need supplements, which given the culture here, is really just a sales pitch for vitamins.
